Before you descend even further into snideness, you might want to
ask what has been attempted in this regard. It'll at least save you
from further putting your foot in your mouth.
I personally started a query some months back asking to have a formal
process through which changes to the charter could be proposed,
discussed, and decided. That request to even start a discussion on
how to change the charter was shut down by the moderator. Right now,
there is no formal method to change the charterm and though I've
asked repeatedly how one charter changes are made, I've been snubbed
at every attempt.
I'm not the only one - others asked as well why there isn't any sort
of formal process to make changes to the charter, and they were
summarily dismissed.
