You'd better work harder on your memory. The example I gave was not
some abstract example, but a very concrete one. I know of a group of
people who are lingayats, who are mostly not Indian, and some of them
are gay. They are, however, very serious about being lingayats.
So, the question I posed is this - would _you_ consider them Hindus?

I merely stated the facts, and if that somehow insults you or whoever
else, then I think you have a very thin skin. This issue of
"nontraditional" members of various religions groups has been around
for a while, and will continue to be around for a while.
The only question to me is "if you claim you have a definitive answer
to who is and is not a Hindu, do the people I've mentioned get
labelled as Hindus or not?"
It's a very simple question, and if you're trying to make political
hay over it, that suggests to me that what you're lacking is a good
answer.

And the last time you mentioned this, you were asked to repost the
questions you felt were not answered. Have you?
