One might contend that a religion newsgroup should be spared this
sort of stuff in all disputes.

In all fairness, I would like to ask the following: if human rights
violations against Hindus are deemed on-topic for soc.religion.hindu,
what about human rights violations _by_ Hindus?
On some newsgroups, a large portion of the discussion is about human
rights violations. Are all of these discussions now deemed on-topic
for soc.religion.hindu?
>All the politically oriented articles on this topic will be rejected.
How is this determined? The article that was posted seemed to be
fairly politically-oriented, and I think most human rights violations
stem from political conflicts.
