No he didn't. He described it as "a frozen manifestation of the god
Shiva's sexual organ." Which is absolutely correct. The only fault with
that description is God should have been capitalized.

The base of the Shivalinga is called a yoni which refers to the female
reproductive organs.

Have you ever actually been inside a mandir? The only Shivalinga's which
are oval are the Banalingas which are a very small proportion. And even
if they are all oval so what. It is a representation of a penis not a
scale model.

I won't even attempt to decipher this bizarre statement.
What prudery makes modern Hindus so uncomfortable about this topic? None
of us would be here without a linga and a yoni you know.
