I agree entirely, you didn't mention alot of the things I said in that
article - the reason for them being there were because the article wasn't
written in response to what you said, but some of the things in the
article were relevant to what you said, and I therefore forwarded it to
the nesgroup.

Also, I'm in complete agreement with what you now are saying - it is not
ESSENTIAL to have a Guru, although it is a great help (which was my
original point...if you look at what I said in the article, that is what I
was trying to point out - in your earlier posting, you suggested that a
having a Guru was an absolute necessity. I was merely pointing out that
it was not an absolute necessity, but merely a huge help). If you recall,
I didn't say that the Vedas themselves claimed to be the source of all
knowledge, but that they are held to be the source of all knowledge, and I
would maintain that stance.

Anyway, it appears to me that we are in complete agreement (which is
always good), so...see you down the beach for a nice, cold lassi :)
