That is correct. However in some non-brahmin communities also,
men wear the yajnopavIta.

In some regions, some Brahmins have a distinctive appearance.
Sometimes they tend to use slightly different set of words or
pronounce them differently. However unless you are a real expert,
you can not notice the difference.
