Perhaps you worship Idols and graven images but I worship Deities, a big
difference between the two and that was the point I was trying to make.
When I tell these people the same thing an explaination is not really
required as a deity has a different meaning. I still tell them what is the
difference and what the Vedic point of view is and this set's the record
straight for some and the others I don't bother too much about. When can
Hindus not be *Champions* for there own faith ? Why do we need others ?
Why can a Hindu not stop using the word Idol and images and us the correct
Spritual Technical language ? Why can't Hindu take the time to stop and
read the Vedas or at least ask a bonefid Spritual Master to explain things
to them ? Why do Hindu's spend too much time seeing Bollywood movies.
I am not too shy and I think the problem goes back to a 1,000 years when
India was invaded by the Muslims who also share the Jeodaic/Christian point
of view. This is not ment to be a Hindu/Muslim discussion but a reference
to the historical events that's all. Further our temples were destroyed
because we were thought to believe in idols, right !!!
So please stop using terms like "We Hindu's worship Idols" we don't we
worship Deities. Idols are false and produced by man and Deities are not.
Meaning that an idol is created with man's imagination and according to his
desires.
