Traditionally, boycotts have worked to accomplish their goals.
During the past 12 hours or so three of my own acquaintances
have decided against purchases of Sony products which they
had planned during the coming weekend -- representing about
US$1,900 in retail sales -- as a result of our conversation
about this subject. If Sony and others are permitted to
injure the feelings and sensitivities of Hindus today, they
may do the same for other large groups of people. The
important thing to keep in mid is that all this can be
avoided.
