here are some of the interesting sites that I found about religious
conversions on the net:

LIGHTSOURCE:
"Never before have we seen such blatant, hard-core worship of worthless
idols," they recall. "The streets are congested with cows and sadhus (holy
men) and lined with temples, shrines, and ashrams.
But there is an urgent need for more missionaries. In Rishikesh and
Hardiwar, the cities where the Lemans worked, there are no known Western
missionaries. And these are only two among thousands of cities and villages
scattered across this vast subcontinent of opportunity.
PRAY . . . for Indian pastors and missionaries already in India. Pray
fervently that God would send long-term missionaries to northern India
(many have enthusiastically gone to serve there but found the culture too
intense to stay). And pray that God would expose the folly of India's idols
and that every one of them would fall on its face before Him like the
statue of Dagon in 1 Samuel 5. May the gospel spread rapidly and the church
be strengthened in the midst of persecution. Posted: 07/08/97

A.D. 2000 & BEYOND:

"I believe that India today is on the map for the global church." And Peter
Wagner, coordinator for the AD2000 United Prayer Mobilization Network
observes, "Of all the nations in the world, India has the highest potential
of fruitful investment of evangelistic effort at this time. It is the place
to invest time, energy and resources."
Many Christian leaders both within and without India expect that God will
do something very special in that part of the world over the next few
years. The founder of the Friends Missionary Prayer Band in India, Patrick
Joshua, believes that India is due for a rich harvest because the price has
been paid by the scarificial service of missionaries and pastors over the
past years.

MISSION OF JOY:
Mission of Joy is a non-profit Christian organization whose purpose is to
reach India with the Gospel. Mission of Joy has built numerous churches in
Andhra Pradesh, South India. Clothing, food, shelter, Christian education,
and staff support is presently provided. Funds are provided by caring
American Christians.
MOJ conducts approximately 25 crusades each year in India. During the
winter of 1994, MOJ saw more than 10,000 Hindus and Muslims commit their
lives to Christ. These crusades target the remote villages of India.

PRAYING THROUGH 10/40 WINDOW:

The core of the unreached people of our world live in a rectangular-shaped
window! Often called "The Resistant Belt", the window extends from West
Africa to East Asia, from ten degrees north to forty degrees north of the
equator. This specific region, which has increasingly become known as The
10/40 Window, encompasses the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and
Buddhists -- billions of spiritually impoverished souls.

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.....
Aum Shanti!
