REQUEST: day-to-day Hindu life, religious activities, names

I am beginning character research for a screenplay, and I would like to
discuss the following subjects with anyone who would care to:

1) I am aware that Hindus engage in a very broad array of religious
activities, but I would like to discuss some specifics in day to day life,
such as when one might worship in a temple, when at home, and what form
this worship takes.

2) What role do current religios leaders have in day to day worship? What
role do priests have? Is there a corrolary to the Christian idea of
priest/minister with a congregation and specific church for worship? Are
different sects of Hindus commonly lead by a local priest?

3) What are some of your favorite first and last names for Hindu men and
women (in India)?

If any of my religious questions strike you as off the wall, please excuse
my ignorance on the subject. I am seeking accurate information so I can
correct any incorrect ideas I might have.
