Obviously, then, the major source of the problem is India itself -
anyone seen festivals in Mumbai in the past decade? Clearly, this is a
situation where symbols of holiness are carried around in a less than
holy manner. After all, filmi music isn't exactly a bhajan.

Madonna did this without anything near an Andre Serrano
incident. Better yet, tell this person to visit the Limelight in NYC -
a former gothic-style church turned into a nightclub.

A non-Hindu said that? I find it strange, since he botched the idiom
completely - "not think twice about" is the same as "not hesitate to".
Was he a non-Hindu Indian?

There's an after-hours nightclub called "Tantra" in Houston that's
existed for years - why the sudden outrage over this place? The
existence of Tantra should be known to the VHP'ers, because it's most
definitely known by their kids...

Maybe the AHADC can next start a protest against the guy who called
India a nation of women and eunuchs - however, it would be hard to get
him to take back his words, because he's been dead for almost a
century. His speech at the WPR, however, is still celebrated by
some...

Incidentally, I wonder if this protest sends a nationwide signal to
clubowners on how to get free publicity. Who would have even known
about this place 2 weeks ago?
