"Sambho" is the vocative of "Sambhu", which in turn
is derived from "Sam" + "bhavati". "Sam" means calmness,
and "bhavati" is the present tense form of the root "bhu",
which means "is" or "become". So "Sambhu" means he is
who is calm. One can also take it to mean he who induces
calmness.
