You are taking the issue of "halal" as a racist dogma against Hindus
and Sikhs. On the contrary, it is not. Yes, the animal must go through
"ziba" by a Muslim to be considered halal. However, you will realize
this tradition started much sooner with the Jews! Kosher is the Jewish
form of Halal, meaning the meat has been blessed by a Jew. They can only
eat Kosher meat (observant Jews, that is). They must never mix meat and
dairy products, cannot eat shellfish or pork (the pork restriction
shared by Muslims as well). There are many traditions intertwined
amongst the three Abrahamic faiths (especially between Judaism and
Islam) than is actually portrayed by the media. If a Hindu, Buddhist, or
Sikh had their own dietary doctrines (which they DO) Muslims would
understand, because of their own dietary restrictions. That means
Muslims have to search high and low for a halal restaurant, and forgoing
many of the popular ones which most of their peers enjoy (I'm talking
about in the West). You are taking this issue at a one-sided glance.
Open your eyes a bit more. If a Hindu doesn't eat a meat dish that his
Muslim host spent so hard trying to prepare, should the Muslim take
Hinduism as a racist, anti-Muslim religion? No, the Muslim should
respect the Hindu, ask if he/she is vegetarian, and prepare a meal as
such. Think about these things and do a little more research on Islam
before you start ripping it apart on the Web, and most of all, open your
heart. India can't afford ignorance amongst all its people any more (on
ALL sides).
Peace
