My friend, it is NOT enough if you accept scriptures, but we should understand
and LIVE them too. The "_as is_" part of your sentence is very important
and it is of value to remind ourselves, that these scriptues talk about
ourselves and our own nature and we can understand them "_as is_" only,
after practising them and not by reading or even arguing.
Even in Science, the preliminary text will say "Rainbow has 7 colors".
But only on clearer understanding do we know that it is not that "Rainbow
has 7 colors, but the ONE single light upon refraction APPEARS as 7 colors
to us". That does not mean the earlier sentence if wrong either. But only
on our increased understanding can we appreciate the phenomena better. And
what to speak of Scriptures then??

Well, we all see things only as we are. Some one said, "Sight is a faculty,
but seeing is an art". How true!
