Yogasanas and Exercises

Hindus acknowledge the importance of Sun and sunlight in their daily lives and begin their day by paying tribute to the Sun God (Surya Devata).  The Suryanamaskar (or Sooryanamaskar) is prayer to Sun God, and it is a perfect combination of exercise and prayers

Hindus believe that spirituality must encompass a sound mind and a sound body.  Yogasanas are therefore designed not just for physical fitness but also mental strength. It is recommended that these simple yogasanas be carried out every day.
