Spearing a buffalo and a bull

 
Spearing a buffalo/bull; a naked man lifts one of his feet onto the head of the buffalo and attacks it with a spear; (a) seal impression, Mohenjodaro (DK 8165); after Mackay 1938: pl.88, no.279; (b) moulded terracotta tablet, Mohenjodaro (DK 4547), in front of a tree; three persons stand near the tree; (c) one side of a moulded triangular prism, Mohenjodaro (M492C); a snake with expanded hood is behind the short-horned bull which is attacked by a man with a spear, with one foot on the muzzle of the bull  (cf. Mahadevan, 1977, p. 809).
