I think the word `juggernaut' does originate in `jagannath' but in a
different sense.
Every year there is a huge massive procession taken out in Puri (where
the Jagannath temple is) and it is in connection with this huge procession
that the word `juggernaut' evolved. `Juggernaut' also means
`an object that crushes whatever is in its path'.
I'm not sure though.
