Gautama Buddha and Mahavira are from religous figures / saints
that have appeared in the present yuga (Kali Yuga) and hence
a
historical account of their existence exists.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna is the ultimate reality (distinction between
the
individual soul and the supreme soul) and atleast from the hindu
scriptures lived in the previous yuga (after the end of each
yuga there
is dissolution of the material universe and hence historical
records do not exist., although recent articles on the gates
of the
palace of Dwaraka being found provide some hope.)
Existing historical records are those from the Hnidu scriptures
and Purnanas .
