How, pray tell, did the varNa system create the ``most resilient
society'' on this earth? How did it prevent conversion to other
religions?

The evidence seems to indicate the opposite. Most Indian Muslims
are known to be descendants of converted Hindus. The same is
true for Christians, many of whom came from the lower oppressed
castes.

Please explain how, if this was the ``only way'', _what_ it
was the only way to?
