Hi Dheeraj,

I went throught the same as you are going through and can not answer the
question for you. You have to be open to receive it. The best way is to
approach Krishna and he will answer the question in fact it is already
answered in the Gita in chapter 9 verse 20 on wards, this chapter refutes
the view that Dharma is "polytheistic" as Krishna states in verse 23:

Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with faith
actualy worship Me, O son of Kunti, but they do so in a wrong way.

Further in verse 25 it is stated :

Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those
who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and
sprits will take birth amongt such beings; and those who worship Me will
live with Me.

Now one may say does it matter ? Well what do you think ? Is it okay to
take birth among demigods ?

A common misunderstanding is that one has to be born a "Hindu". Our
consitional position for all beings irrespective of the type of body we
have is that we are all Eternal Servants of Krishna no matter who we are.
We are servants of God. There is only one faith and that is Sanatum Dharma
I do not say that as a "fundamentalist" but mean it in the absolute context
as all faiths inspire us to surrender to God and to serve him. What
"Hindus" have done is to twist this to suite their selfish needs.

Krishna created the caste system as he is God and the caste system is
really a division of labour in that each works according to their ability.
You are not actually born into a caste as such but the Lord makes
arrangements for your spritual journey. Take the case of Valmiki who
recorded the events of Ramyana the past times of Lord Rama, he was not a
Brahmin yet he is a great Saint and it was his perpensity to serve Sri Ram
that made him such a great devotee. Also see Mira Biye who was laughted at
for eating berries before offering them to Sri Ram, as she wanted to give
him the sweetest berries and not bitter ones. When Lord Rama arrived he was
offered the berries and he took them and eat them. Normally one can not
offer the Lord food that has been eaten, we must offer the food to the
Lotus feet of the Lord first. But because she was surrendered onto the Lord
he accepted the berries because she Loved him unconditionally, this is
devotional service.

You have asked a good question so do not be afraid to ask, you have an
intelligent mind that wants to know the truth that is a very nobel thing.
Please do not stop asking questions.

Your friend,

Sunil
