Really! First you say you are looking for material connecting shaivism
to ganja and what not and now you claim to know some ancient myths
connecting shiva to ganja. Make up your mind. FYI, Contemporary shaivism
is based on the Agama-s. Both Kashmir and the Tamil versions are based
on the Agama-s. Both condemn indulging in wine, meat etc. One of the
canonical texts of Tamil shaivism, tirumantiram composed by thirumUlar
(7 century AD), roundly criticizes meat eating, wine drinking etc.

Some catholics invoke Jesus and his death for their hatred towards Jews.
That does not mean anti-semitism is a part of catholicism or that Jesus
would have sanctioned it.

Drugs are a phenomenon in any reasonably advanced society. That doesn't
make it a part of religion. Just because some jobless sadhus smoke ganja
and recite the name of shiva or whoever before they do it, doesn't make
it a part of shaivism or whoever'ism.
