DIWALI IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA
India being a predominantly agrarian country, all its major festivals fall during the harvest time. Diwali too coincides with the winter harvest, a time of plenty and prosperity. It could also be one reason why the Goddess of prosperity , Maha Lakshmi is worshipped on this occasion.

Diwali is celebrated with pomp and gaiety across the length and breath of our country, it is one of the most joyous and colourful festivals of the Hindus. The four day celebrations, however over time have acquired different colors and practices in different regions of India. Each adding its own flavour and culture to the event.
