Jai Swaminarayan.
Yes, the Vachanamritm will give the best answer to this question.
Also, the purpose of Purusottam's incarnation on the Earth was to
establish Bhakti, Gnayan, Vairagya, AND Dharma.
But, Dharma is the starting point. It is the most straight forward of
the four and its rules are explained in the Shikshapatri. It is probably
the most attainable, the best starting point, for a Mumuksha. That is
why the Gita says this - because this starting point is what Krishna
Bhagwan set out to put forth.
But, the Gita also explains that Dharma is not the ultimate.
Krishna Bhagwan asked Arjun to do some things that some might say is
against Dharma. But, Arjun came to realize that ultimate Dharma is what
God says. What God tells you to do IS Dharma - no matter what it is.
Well, this is my little understanding on the matter.
I am happy to know that you are reading the the Vachanamritm.
It is available in English and can answer ANY question that many of you
in this newsgroup might have. I urge you all to read this and the
Shikshapatri. But, a true (Ekantik) guru is necessary to understand the
Vachanamritm. Because it is very hard for us to understand the depth and
true meanings of it.
Sorry for any mistakes in this post.
